СИСТЕМА IP

1. cannot see the captured video by the GUINAZ IP entrance panel:

Make sure your computer is ON and connected to the cable network.
Access the web server computer in a browser by typing its IP address.
Go to the SIP tab. Check that the video stream is enabled.
Go to the Diagnostics tab and click the button to capture image. If you followed the steps above, it should appear in the Diagnostic tab the snapshot taken by the intercom.
Verify that your device has enabled the H264 video codec and that the selected resolution matches the team.
2. I Do not hear anything from the speaker of the GUINAZ IP entrance panel:

Make sure your computer is ON and connected to the cable network.
Access the web server computer in a browser by typing its IP address.
Go to the audio tab and make sure the speaker volume is in the desired range.
Go to the diagnostics tab. Press the “Send pre-recorded message.” Then it will sound through the computer’s speaker Visstrim a sequence of beeps.
Make sure your receiver device has enabled the G711 codec (μ-Law).
3. I Do not hear anything on the receiver device:

Make sure your computer is ON and connected to the cable network.
Access the web server computer in a browser by typing its IP address.
Go to the audio tab and check that sensitivity of the microphone is in the desired range.
Go to the diagnostics tab. Press “Capture message.” Then speak into the microphone Visstrim team. After issuing the press captured message and speakerphone on the team’s pre-recorded message.
Make sure your call receiver apparatus has enabled the G711 codec (μ-Law).
4. The volume is low on the intercom:

Adjust sensitivity or microphone volume on the receiver of the call point.
Go to the audio tab and raise the value of the speaker volume.
5. The audio volume at the point of destination of the call is low:

Adjust sensitivity or microphone volume on the receiver of the call point.
Go to the audio tab and high up the microphone sensitivity.
6. Echo is heard at the reception point.

Try to balance the speaker volume and microphone sensitivity (usually putting down both or one of them) on GUINAZ IP entrance panel. The echo occurs due to a feedback between the loudspeaker and microphone. Both have high values and the echo canceller cannot solve this feedback.
If this is not enough, low the sensitivity or volume of the microphone on the receiver of the call point.
7. How does the divert call happen?:

It occurs when there is no steering response “Destination 1″ of “contact table”. In this case, it automatically launches a “Destination Address” in “reservation call.”
8. Do you have to configure the IP entrance panel as PBX or p2p for the forwarding calls to a Smartphone?

P2P: It works in offline mode. On the internal network.
IP PBX: When you need connect to the internet. Due to the phone is not within the local network.
Depending on how you want to work you will have to set it up one way or another but you cannot mix the two together.
9. Does the PoE supply eliminates the feeder? In what situations and under what conditions?:

Yes, the PoE supply eliminates the feeder. You can always use PoE power as long as there is a switch or Poe injector.
10. Can you connect a wireless router to communicate with the main router? For example, an office to place an entrance panel at a point outside the building where there is no wiring.

Yes, you can use a wifi repeater but the connection on the entrance panel is always provided by RJ-45 connector. The entrance panel does not have wifi itself.
11. Do you have to convert the static network into dynamic in case that the building has dynamic?:

You can configure a static IP or any IP generated by the DHCP server.
From either of 2 ways. It is configurable in the “RED” section – “DHCP SETUP” – “TYPE OF ASSIGNMENT”
12. Can you assign the same IP address to different devices to receive the call on all of them at once ?:

An IP address can be assigned to only one network device, unless you use Smartphones or management calls through IP portiers unit.
13. What does the concept regenerate SSH keys?

SSH security is important to avoid being hacked and protect your pc from network attacks.

1. Commissioning
Before connecting the system, check the following:

Each phone or monitor shall set the number of housing through its switches.
Entrance panels must be configured their number, type, etc., with their microswitches (panels with visor) or via software (display panels).
Every online video distribution must have the proper impedance depending on the type of cable used in the installation (75Ohm coaxial cable, twisted pair cat 5 If not, check the jumper settings on monitors and cameras and termination resistance line distributors.
Check that the lines 1, 2 and 3 are not shorted together.
2. Nothing works, not light of the names / LCD display in the entrance panel.

Check the voltages at the terminals of the audio following control group: 1M-2M = 17Vdc 3M / 3P-2M = 17Vdc
If these voltages are correct and the problem persists, the audio control group may be broken.

If any of the voltages in step 1 is not indicated, disconnect the cable 1M, 2M and 3M control group audio and redo the test. If in this way the measurements are correct, check the connections of wire 1M, 2M and 3M on house and splices at installation to rule out cable crossovers or shorts. We recommend disconnecting the installation sections to locate the problem.
If the cable 1M, 2M and 3M disconnected voltages are not correct, disconnect cables 1 and 2 on the power supply and check the voltages at input terminals (220Vac) and output (17Vdc). If there is not 17Vdc at the start, replace the feeder.
If the feeder works properly but entrance panel still do not have voltage, check cables 1 and 2. If these are in good condition, the audio control group may be broken.
3. No picture on any monitor or of poor quality in all

Check that the hose connection between the audio and the video unit group is connected properly.
Check the correct configuration of the entrance panel (using microswitches or software programming).
Check that the installed power cable meets the following specifications: 75 ohm impedance coaxial or twisted pair Category 5, 100 Ohm impedance.
Check the video cable connection and check the position of the jumpers on the basis of the monitors and the video camera is correct according to the type of cable used.
Check that the video signal distributors are right for the cable used and properly fed (14-12VDC between terminals 14-2 M or dealer with the monitor itself on.). Also make sure that each monitor do not feed more than two dealers at the same time.
Check that the video cable is properly connected to the input terminals or output from the audio control group, according to the type of installation.
Disconnect video cable from the outdoor panel and measure resistance between the two terminals of the cable itself (VM: 75 5 Ohms, HL: 100 5 Ohms?). If this measure is not correct, the following cases can happen:
– That the resistance is infinite (open circuit) or equal to 0 (short circuit): Check connections and cable integrity. We recommend disconnecting the installation sections to locate the problem.
– That the resistance is lower than indicated: Ensure that all resistances are cut from distributors except the last one.
– Resistance is higher than indicated: Check that the cable meets specifications (see step 3).
If all the above checks are correct, the video unit may be damaged.

4. No audio communication or poor audio quality in all houses.

Check the audio volume adjustment on the entrance panel and in the house from potentiometer of audio group of the entrance panel.
It is recommended that both potentiometers fit a maximum of 2/3 of its total length.
Check that the voltage between 1M and 2M household connections is not less than 14Vdc while communication is maintained.
If all the above checks are correct, the audio control group may be broken.
5. The door does not open from any dwelling.

Check that the door opener installed meets the system specifications: Voltage: 12VDC / maximum current: 400mA.
Check that the audio control group generates a voltage of + 12Vdc at terminal 4 and 5 (with disconnected cables) as a shortcut is done between terminals 6 and 7. If this voltage is not listed; the audio control group may be broken.
If the above measure is correct, check the cables connecting 4 and 5 door opener. If these are in good condition, the fault may be in the opener itself.
If the installation is composed of more than one access, verify the configuration / programming of the different entrance panels.
6. Does not make a call.

When you press each key, the green LED should light on or to display the calling code on the display, depending on the type of entrance panel.
Check the hoses connecting the audio group and the keypad (or between the audio group and the first pushbutton module and between modules buttons). Check connections at the entrance panels
Check that the characteristic sound of a relay is heard to make each call. If not so, try to push each module separately and if one is defective, replace it. If none of them produces the sound mentioned, the audio control group may have failed.
Check the settings on the switches of the monitor or telephone and the programming of the entrance panel. Check there are not two monitors or phones with the same configuration (number of house)
Check the voltage between wires 1M, 2M (mass) and 3M in the entrance panel and in houses: 1M – 2M = 17Vdc / 3M – 2M = 17Vdc. The following cases may happen:
– Correct tension in entrance panel but not in houses. Check that the cable sections used are appropriate for installation.
– Incorrect tension in entrance panel and housing. Disconnect the cables 1M, 2M and 3M of audio control group and double-check the voltage at the terminals. If that is not prescribed, the audio control group may be faulty. In case that voltage in the terminals of the audio control group is correct but when connecting the cables this measure changes, check the connection of wires in houses and splices of the installation to discard cable crossovers or shorts. We recommend disconnecting the installation by sections to locate the problem.
7. No support lighting in the camera module.

If the installation is black and white video intercom, it is not a fault because the support light is infrared, imperceptible to the human eye.
If instead it is color video intercom, the video unit may be damaged.

СИСТЕМА 2-Х ПРОВОДНАЯ

1. How does the cable for installation 2 wire system has to be?

The wiring of the system GUINAZ S2 is a 2-wire bus for audio, video, data and power, which all equipment installation are interconnected. These two threads may be of any type you can usually find in the market, but with only one requirement: the cable section must be adequate to perform the installation.
It has to be considered in this type of installation that if a multipair wire is used, you can only use one of the pairs, and never attach more than a couple bending section.
If the cable used is multipolar, you can only use two of the wires, and never join several wires to bend section.

АНАЛОГОВАЯ СИСТЕМА

1. Audio systems – Nothing works

Check that the terminals 1 and 2 of the audio control group is a 12Vac voltage at rest and that voltage does not low 10,5Vac during a call or when the door opens.
If these voltages are not correct, we have to measure the outputs of the power supply by disconnecting all cables: between terminals 1 and 2 must measured 12Vac; and between terminals A and B, 220Vac.
If the voltages are correct at rest, but fall below the values shown to activate the equipment, check that the cable section is the recommended in the installation guide.
2. Audio systems – No ringing on a phone.

Check that all the hoses are properly connected between modules. Verify that all cables (PUL1, PUL2, PUL3 …) are properly connected, that there are no short circuits between them, the phones are properly hung, etc.
If the bell does not work, connect the cables and PUL and 5 to a test phone next to the entrance panel. If you still do not get to hear the dial tone, the fault is in the audio group. If on this phone the call works and at the house still does not, the problem is in the wiring to the house, or on the phone itself.
3. Audio systems – The door opener does not work when pressing from the phones.
First, check that between terminals 1 and 2 of the audio control group there is approximately 12Vac at rest. If this measure is not correct, check connections and cable section. If it is, follow the following steps in order:

Short the terminals 1 and 4 of the audio module of the entrance panel. Linking these terminals through a cable, the door opener must get activated. If it does not do it, check the wires 3 and 4 and the opener itself.
If the above test is successful, short terminals 8 and 5 from the audio module of the entrance panel. These cables run from the phone and they activate a clearly audible internal relay. If using a cable to link these two terminals the opener does not activate, replace the audio controls.
If the previous test was also correct, short terminals 8 and 5 on the phone. This signal is sent from the home to activate the opener. This short must activate the opener. Otherwise, check the connection of the wires 5 and 8. If the door itself opens with wires 8 and 5 shorted, but pressing the door opener button doesn’t, the phone must be replaced.
IMPORTANT: The door openers installed must work at 12Vac and its consumption should not exceed 0.8 amps.

4. Audio systems – Buzz in the entrance panel or on the phone.
The audio noise is usually caused by the failure on the power supply of the audio group.

Check that between terminals 1 and 2 of the audio group there are approximately 12Vac.
If there is not as mention above, or the power is lower than 12 Vac, the voltage between terminals 1 and 2 of the power supply has to be measured. If the measurement is not correct either, disconnect the power supply for 1 minute and reconnect. If once this is done, the operation is successful, the problem was due to excessive power consumption at the facility.
Verify the door opener works at 12Vac and is not above 0.8 amp consumption.
Check the cable section 1 and 2.
5. Video entry – Nothing works.

Check that in the terminals 1 and 2 of the audio control group there are approximately 12Vac at rest and that this voltage does not drop 10,5Vac. during a call or while the door opens. In the monitors there must be between 11 and 5 terminals (11 and M if the monitors are not dual) 17Vdc (± 1Vdc) at rest, and not less than 14Vdc with the display on.
If these tensions don’t exist, measure the outputs of the power supply by disconnecting all cables: between terminals 1 and 2, 12Vac; between terminals A and B, 220Vac.
If the stated voltages are correct at rest, but fall more than indicated above when activating the equipment, check that the cable section is the one recommended in the installation guide.
6. Door Camera – The bell doesn’t ring in a phone/monitor.

Check that all the hoses between modules are properly connected. Verify that every calling cable (PUL1, PUL2, PUL3 …) is correctly connected, that there are no short circuits between them, that every phone/monitor has been hung well, ecc.
If still the bell does not work, connect the cables PUL and 5 to a phone / test monitor along with an entrance panel. If you still do not get to hear the ringing sound, the fault is in the audio control group. If this phone / monitor works OK and the house’s still does not, the problem is in the wiring to that house, or on the phone/monitor itself.
7. Video entry – The door opener does not work when pressing from the telephones or monitors.
First, check that between the audio control group terminals 1 and 2 there are approximately 12Vac at rest. If this measure is not correct, check connections and sections of the cables. If it’s correct, follow the following steps in order:

Short the terminals 1 and 4 from the audio control group of the entrance panel. If these terminals are attached by a cable, the opener must be activated. If not, check the wires 3 and 4 and the door opener itself.
If the test above is successful, short terminals 8 and 5 from the entrance panel audio module. These cables go from the phone/monitor to the audio control group and they activate an internal relay that it is clearly audible. If by uning these two terminals by a cable the opener does not activate, replace the audio control group.
Short the terminals 8 and 5 on the phone or monitor. This signal is the one sent from the house to activate the opener. This short must activate the opener. Otherwise, check the connection of the wires 5 and 8. If the door opens this way, but by pressing the phone or monitor lock release button does not work, replace the phone/monitor itself.
IMPORTANT: The openers must work a 12Vax and their consumption should not be higher than 0.8 amps

8. Video entry – the image appears on the monitors / poor image quality.

The first thing to do is to make sure if the screen activates but does not show any image or, otherwise, it does not switch on at all. If it is activated with no image, the problem may be in the coax connection at any point in the system, or in the video unit. If the screen does not light, you must check the supply voltages (see problem “Nothing works”).
Verify that the configuration jumpers on the camera and the monitors are in the correct position, depending on the video cable installed: 75 ohm coaxial or twisted pair cat.5 (see section 2.8).
Measure the voltage between terminals 14 and 5F in the video unit. Only when any monitor of the installation is switched on should appear a voltage of 12Vdc. If not, or it occurs a voltage drop, verify the cable section and verify that the output voltage is correct in the 14 and 5F terminals of the power supply. If there is no monitor on, this output will always remain at 0 Vdc.
Having the supplies already been tested correct, the next step is to check the video cable installation. The cable on the camera bust be disconnected and the resistance between its two terminals, measured, so to check the correct connection of the general video line (vertical or principal). It must mark 75 ohms (coaxial) or 100 ohm (twisted pair), and there are three possible results:
– The impedance is less: This indicates that you have not correctly set the line termination resistor in the monitors or in the video signal distributors (see section 2.8 and diagrams of sections 2.9.1, 2.9.2 and 2.9.3). Remember to cut all the resistances of 75 or 100 ohm of a serial line of distributors EXCEPT THE LAST OF THEM, which will be the “end of line”.
– Impedance equal to 0: In this case there is a short circuit between the two wires of the video cable at some point of the installation.
– Impedance is infinite: there is some poor contact along the line, or it’s broken or loosen one of the two wires of the video cable in some connections.
Check that each monitor is not simultaneously feeding more than three video signal distributors. The minute there is a correct measure (for twisted pair 100 ohm to 75 ohm coaxial) with the video cable disconnected form the video, the principal video line is balanced and correct. If the voltages and impedances are still good on camera and monitor and image problems continue, it is possibly the an error on the video camera itself.
9. Video entry – Ringing on the entrance panel or on the phone / monitor.
The audio noise is usually caused by power failure in the audio control group.

Check that between terminals 1 and 2 of the audio control group there are about 12Vac.
If it is not, or the voltage is less than 12V ac, measure in terminals 1 and 2 of the power supply. If the measurement is neither correct, disconnect the power supply for a minute and then reconnect. Done this, if the operation is successful, the problem was due to an excessive power consumption at the facility.
Verify that the opener works at 12Vac and that is not above an 0.8 amp consumption.
Check the sections of the 1 and 2 cables.
10. Audio Univ. G1250 Group – Nothing works.

Check voltage between terminals 1-2 (12Vac) of the G1250 audio group. If not correct, check the connection to the power supply.
11. Audio Univ. G1250 Group – No hearing connection.

Revisar conexión de cables 6, 7 y configuración del puente J2. Verificar que los potenciómetros de ajuste de volumen no estén al mínimo.
12. Audio Univ. G1250 Group – Opener does not work.

Check cable connections 3 and 4 and also check the connection of cable 8 between the entrance panel and the phones.

Check configuration of jumper J1. Check hose connection between the audio group G1250 and pushers groups.
14. Univ.T1130 Phone. Nothing Works.

Check the correct connection of the entrance panel with the pone. In case it wasn’t a GUINAZ installation, go to the equivalence chart.
15. Univ.T1130 Phone. The sound produces a LARSEN effect or it couples.

Regulate POT1 and POT2 potentiometers to adjust the mic sensibility and the speaker volume.
16. Univ. T1130 Phone – The phone sound cannot be Heard.

Regulate potentiometer POT1. Check cable connected to the terminal no7.
17. Univ. T1130 Phone – The entrance panel sound cannot be Heard.

Regulate potentiometer POT2. Check cable connected to the terminal no6.
18. Univ. T1130 Phone – No buzzer call sounds.

Check call cable connection to “ZUM” terminal.
19. Univ. T1130 Phone – No electronic call sounds.

Check call cable connection to “PUL” terminal.
20. Univ. T1130 Phone – The opener does not work.

Check wires 5 and 8 connection.

1. What kind of wiring is necessary for GUINAZ entry and video entry systems?
The kind of cable to use depends on the system that is planned to connect:

The ÉLITE series uses the conventional 4+n wiring (n= number of homes) for the door entry system and the 5+n+coax os UTP twisted pair for the video entry systems.
The PREMIER series, however, requires just 3 wires for the entry system and 3+coax or UTP for the video entry system. This means that, with a UTP cable harness (CAT5 or superior) it can be done the majority of the PREMIER video-entry systems installations, as they normally have 8 wires, or 4 pairs.
2. Where can I find technical manuals and catalogs of GUINAZ products?

You can visit the download section of our website to find the catalogs with all the information and descriptions of our products.

3. Does GUINAZ have entry or video door entry systems of 2-wires? What about wireless?

Yes. The S2 System Series is Guinaz’ digital range of 2 threads.
Moreover, the vast majority of video door entry systems by GUINAZ can be installed with a single UTP hose, a wiring that provides similar advantages as the 2-wire systems for ease of installation, and in terms of benefits unlike other systems that are installed with more wires.
Our catalog does not have wireless systems yet.
4. Do you have compatible equipment GUINAZ other brands in the market?

Yes, specifically the Universal T1130 phone and the universal G1250 audio unit are compatible with other products in the market.
5. Is there a possibility of intercommunication between telephones or monitors GUINAZ?

No, at the moment there is no possibility of intercommunication.
6. Can I replace an old entry door for a GUINAZ’ video door entry system without changing the wiring?

Yes, with the PREMIER digital series. Logically, the cables must be in the best condition as it is possible. For replacement there would only have to be added some video distributors on each floor, monitors and an entrance panel.
7. How long does the warranty that GUINAZ offers for its products cover?

The warranty for all GUINAZ products is of 30 months starting the date of purchase; one of the largest in the market.

8. Can I see the image of the video door GUINAZ on my TV?

Yes, you can do so by just adding a TV modulator. This can be connected to individual homes or entire communities with a very low cost.
9. Is it possible to make the call sound elsewhere in my home, apart from in the intercom / monitor?

Yes, it is possible by connecting a R1610 call repeater (for the ELITE series) or a R3680 (for the PREMIER digital series).
10. Can I open the garage door (or a second door) from my hand phone / monitor?

Yes, both hand phones and monitors have an auxiliary button (potential free contact) for such applications. In the case of the PREMIER digital monitors series, they even have 2 auxiliary switches.
11. Can I activate a further bell or light when receiving a call?

Yes, by using a R2620 adapter for the ELITE series or a R3660 for the PREMIER’s.
12. What can I do if my video entry GUINAZ does not work well?
